The Kingsport Carousel is a totally renovated 1956 Allen Herschell Carousel located inside the temperature controlled “Pal’s Roundhouse” at 350 Clinchfield Street Kingsport, TN (at the corner of E. Center Street & Clinchfield Street in Downtown Kingsport). The Carousel is open 5 days a week all year long. All rides are $1. Children under 42 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult.
The Kingsport Centennial approached in 2017 The Kingsport Community Foundation collaborated with the City of Kingsport Centennial Commission to accomplish the Centennial Park Project. Celebrating the Kingsport Spirit, Kingsport’s Centennial Park provides a unique destination and link to downtown Kingsport that commemorates the community’s past, present and future. Bring the kids to enjoy the splash pad for a fun activity for the whole family!
The Exchange Place, a living history farm, is Kingsport’s tonic for today’s fast paced life. The site was once a community that served as a self-supporting plantation, a relay station along the Old Stage Road and the Post Office for Eden’s Ridge,. Tennessee. Exchange Place, the Gaines-Preston Farm, recaptures life in the early 1800s.
The Senior Center
The Kingsport Senior Center is a community center reserved for those aged 50 years and up. The facility includes a fitness center, a computer lab, a pottery workshop with 3 kilns, basketball courts, shuffleboard, a billiards room, and a workshop. Activities offered are exercise programs, intellectual programs, social programs and wellness programs. The Kingsport Senior Center is a community resource dedicated to enriching the quality of life for area seniors.
